Community
Exmouth Hospital
Apache Energy and its construction contractor, Acergy, provided a $33,737 donation to the Exmouth District Hospital, as a result of a safety initiative program that was in place during the installation of the Van Gogh subsea infrastructure. Acergy’s construction staff onboard the construction vessel, Toisa Proteus, earned safety points during the offshore construction phase. For every safety point earned, money was donated by both Apache Energy and Acergy with the cumulated amount of more than $100,000 divided equally between Exmouth District Hospital, Camp Quality and the Starlight Foundation.
Fire Engine at Exmouth’s Learmonth Airport
As an Exmouth Aviation Consortium member, Apache Energy has proudly contributed to providing the first fire engine at Exmouth’s airport in Learmonth. The fire engine is available for all operations and flights at the airport and is an exciting new asset that significantly enhances safety. Previously, the airport had to rely on a fire engine coming out from the town.
Sea Search and Rescue Boat
Apache Energy proudly provided $20,000 financial support to the Exmouth Volunteer Marine Sea Rescue Group for the purchase of their new rescue vessel, the 'Ningaloo Endeavour'. Apache Energy attended the official launch of the vessel at the Exmouth marina on the 6th of May, 2007, which was christened by the Shire of Exmouth's President, Ronnie Fleay.
Ningaloo Whaleshark Festival
